Tochigi Ontario Holdings has today said that Apollo is planning an initial public offering for ADT Corp in 2018.   Often Private Equity Firms use their enormous debts to finance their acquisitions. If the past few years' records are considered, IPO returns from these investments have lowered as investors know about debt risk.   "This year has shown the same trend as companies backed by private equity firms have raised around $5.9 billion in IPO's, which is 30% lower than 2015 and 70% in 2014 for the same quarter. In the previous year, the total was around $3.4 billion, which is quite a sluggish year for IPOs across the board," said Michael Walker, Director of Corporate Equities at Tochigi Ontario Holdings.    Florida-based ADT Corp, established in 1874 as the American District Telegraph Company, is expected to file for IPO with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by fall and go public before the end 2018.    Tochigi Ontario Holdings says Apoll...

Tochigi Ontario Holdings comments on KKR-backed US Foods filing for IPO

On Tuesday, backed by KKR & Co. and Clayton Dubilier & Rice, US Foods Holding Corp. has filed for IPO with an offering size of $100 million.    In 2013, Sysco had proposed to merge with this renowned food distributor. However, the merger was disapproved by a federal judge concerned that the amalgamation of the two companies would restrict competition in the industry.    In the United States, only two companies have sold their shares publicly this year. The number was so low due to the rapid changes in share prices disinteresting potential firms and investors in listing their stock on the US stock exchange listings. Beijing based biotech firm BeiGene Limited and a gene-editing firm with GV and Bill Gates as investors called Editas Medicine Inc. were the two ambitious firms to make their public share trading debut in the stock market.   “US Foods Holding Corp. was taken over by KKR and CD&R back in 2007 via a leveraged buyout, for an amount of $7.1 bil...

Tochigi Ontario Holdings comments on Focus Media making its comeback in Chinese listing

Senior financial analysts from Tochigi Ontario Holdings have commented on Focus Media making a strong comeback following a listing in China after getting removed from the US stock exchange listings two years back.    "Focus Media's removal from US listings was caused by a significant leveraged buyout, the biggest one seen in the country so far. However, the company is back on track to sell shares in China's top share market, courtesy of the firm's decision to undertake a reverse merger," commented Michael Walker, Director of Corporate Equities at Tochigi Ontario Holdings.    Following the footsteps of Focus Media, many other Chinese firms were seen queuing up for a relisting. These companies were a part of US listings as well but had to be taken private.  Focus Media was established in the year 2003 in Shanghai.    In 2005, it came out as a public limited company announcing a hefty $172 million for initial public offerings—this the largest from the si...

Tochigi Ontario Holdings comments on IDC's private equity owners exploring $5.5 billion sale or IPO

Senior financial analysts at Tochigi Ontario Holdings have today commented on the private equity owners of the financial market data provider company, Interactive Data Corporation, priming for a sale of their investment. The deal is expected to be valued at $5.5 billion, including debt.    "Warburg Pincus and Silver Lake Partners have already initiated the early stages of a dual-track process, which would either trigger a US floatation of IDC or a sale. The firms are already making arrangements with banks to manage the listing," commented Michael Walker, Director of Corporate Equities at Tochigi Ontario Holdings.    If they consider auctioning IDC, it may attract financial data companies or other judicious bidders like Thomas Reuters, Standard & Poor's owner, McGraw Hill Financial, and others.   On the contrary, the possible deal's size may see some bidders withdraw as IDC's value is massive to absorb for its competitors. This may make the listing more prac...
